Q: Hello Mr.VK Chand, My Name is Radha Kolipaka and I have a US citizen daughter, Shriya Baru who is 9 years old and living in India with me on a residential permit, which is extended every year by the the local police commissioners office in Visakhapatnam, where I live. I am legally divorced in the USA and live with my daughter in India. I need clarity on how to apply for her OCI, as her residential permit will be over by December- 31 - 2011 .I could not get the exact information from the websites. Please send me a clear list of documentation needed from my side with the time lines . Thank you Radha.Kolipaka A. To apply for OCI for your 9 year old daughter it is necessary that at least one of her parents must be a foreign citizen and be able to qualify for OCI.
