Nano Car Booking Information

 

Yes! NRIs can buy Nano Cars

 

The Booking form distribution & Bookings will start on the 9th of April 2009 and will continue till 25th April 2009, both days inclusive.

 

There will be three Nano models available and booking amounts for each model is as follows:

 

Model Amount:

 

1. Nano BS 2/ Rupees 3, 95,000
2. Nano CX BS 2/ 3  Rupees 1,20,000
3. Nano LX BS 3  Rupees 1,40,000

Booking amount can be paid by Demand Draft, Pay Order or Cheque (should be a local Cheque) Credit card payments are not accepted.

 

Procedure of Booking Nano

 

Offline Booking

 

The first step is to buy the booking application form. Each form has a unique identification number that is printed on each form. For those who do online bookings this unique identification number will be generated when the applicant submits the online form.

 

The cost of the form is Rupees 300 and it can be obtained from the following places:

 

1. Select SBI branches
2. Tata Motor Delearships
3. Croma Outlets
4. Westside stores
5. Tata Indicom Exclusive Stores
6. World of Titan Showrooms

 

PLEASE NOTE:
The form cannot be duplicated or photocopied. Cost of the form is non refundable. Furthermore only one car can be booked per form. If you want to book two cars then you need to buy and fill two separate forms.

 

Booking Forms once filled can be submitted at the following locations:

Online Bookings

 

Those people who use online booking will be charged Rupees 200 for the cost of the form and this will be added to the booking amount.

 

√ Fill out the application form online and proceed to make an online payment.

√ Your application will then be directed to a third party payment gateway site and you can then submit your payment through net
   banking.

As mentioned above the amount to be paid is the 'Cost of Application Form' plus the Booking Amount.

√ The site will confirm your payment by generating a transaction ID.

√ You will be then guided back to the Tata Nano website where a Unique Identification Number (UIN) will be generated.

 

√ Booking is now complete, you can print your receipt, an email is also sent to you with the receipt.

Please Note: Pan Card is required for booking. No documents are required for online booking but need to be submitted when asked for by Tata Motors. Those who do not have a Pan Number need to submit 'Form 60' Here is a sample of Form 60.

 

Allotment of Cars

 

Tata Motors would announce 1,00,000 successful applicants as allotees within 60 days of closing of booking window. The allotments will be done through a process using a computerized random number generation. This would be done in presence of a panel of observers.

1,00,000 successful applicants would be selected. A refund (without interest) to all unsuccessful applicants who have not opted to retain their booking with Tata Motors would be processed within 90 days of closing of booking window.

Retention

In case you are not among the lucky first 1,00,000 allotees, you can opt to retain the booking amount with Tata Motors Ltd. To retain the booking amount with Tata Motors, select the retention option when making the booking.

All retainees would be selected through a pseudo random number generation technique within 60 days of closing of booking window and would get a Tata Nano in second lot of allotments.

Interest would be paid to retainees @ 8.5% per annum for retention period of more than one year and @ 8.75% for retention period of more than two years from the date of allotment.

All retainees would be intimated about a expected period ( 6 month window) of delivery via letter to address, SMS, Email. Tata Motors would reopen booking collection only after servicing all retainees.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

1. The price of Tata Nano as on the date of delivery would be applicable to all retainees.

 

2.  NRIs can book Nano Cars but there are no special privileges being offered to them.

 

3.  Remember the final price of your car will depend on the city where you take delivery of the car.
