Question: What is the discount airfare for USA if tickets are purchased in India? Is it cheaper to buy air tickets in USA or from India?
Answer: A travel agency today is advertising a Mumbai-New York-Delhi flight for Rupees 28600 plus taxes.
The fare after adding taxes works out to Rupees 38500. Converting this fare to US $ at an exchange rate of Rupees 44 to a Dollar the US $ price works out to only $875. I doubt if one can match this price easily in the United States.
