Q245. How to fill on-line 'PAN' card application on-line

Question: Hello, I would like to apply for a PAN Card. I looked in the NSDL website, and the application has only Indian address options. I did not find the other country address option. My correspondence address is in the US. I do own a home in India also, but the correspondence should be with my US address. Can you please help? Thank you. Best Regards, Mita Bhaumik

Answer: The reason you don't see the other country option is that initially this option is disabled. Here is how to enable this option: 1. When you are filling the online form, On item #5. Address section where it says State/Union Territory select 'Outside India' 2. Once you select outside India the drop-down menu for 'Country' will be activated automatically allowing you to choose the country. Hope this helps.
