Q264. Get Indian pension in UK
Question: I retired from central govt job and receiving full pension (basic+DA). I took UK citizenship and have got OCI status also. I was told that I may continue to get basic pension without DA component. Is it true? Virendra Pandey
Answer: What you have heard is correct. Basic pension is an earned right and normally payable regardless of the country a person chooses to live in. On the other hand, DA is not allowed while the pensioner stays abroad .
