Question: Hi I am holding British passport & OCI card i would like to stay in India for 8 months will it affect my British nationality? what are the documents i have to keep when i return to UK? I am looking forward to hear from You Thank you Linto

Answer: Staying out of UK for eight months should have no effect on your British nationality. You can actually stay away for as long as you like! The only documentation you need is a valid UK passport. In case your passport is expiring while abroad, you can always renew the passport from the nearest British consulate.
