Q627. Change in date of birth - Acceptable date of birth documents in India if no birth certificate available

Question: If any person is Hindu and changes his or her religion to Muslim after marriage .his or her name changed so which date of birth proof will b acceptable for making of any Indian gov Authenticated document amber habib

Answer: Regardless of a change in name, religion, citizenship or residence! a person’s date of birth does not change. In India I believe the acceptable form of documents as proof of date of birth are: • A birth certificate for all those who were born on or after January 26, 1989. • Those who were born before January 1, 1989 and do not have a birth certificate can provide other documents such as: o A school certificate showing their date of birth, from a recognized school. o Those people who did not go to school or went to school for less than 5th class, can submit a notarized affidavit indicating their place and date of birth. A sample of such an affidavit can be viewed by clicking HERE.
