Question: Sir can I import a car from Saudi Arabia (Riyadh) to India for personal use ?? Sent from my iPhone
Answer: There are basically two methods of taking a car to India from abroad. If you wish to import the car for a temporary period this can be done under ATA Carnet. In case you wish to import the car with the idea of keeping the car in India or selling the car in India, you can import car if you meet the requirements of Transfer of Residency rules and are indeed transferring your residence.
