About V K Chand
Virendar Chand is the author of The NRI Guide (ISBN 978-0-9878137-0-1).
He left India for North America in 1970 and completed his Business Administration from George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology in 1974. In 1994 he returned to India with his family to set up an industrial manufacturing unit, and returned to North America the following year.
Following his retirement in 2006, he keeps himself busy as the administrator of NriInformation.com — a website that offers helpful tips and information to non-resident Indians settled across the globe. Spending time with his family in Seattle and visiting India frequently allows him to keep in touch with the various issues that concern non-resident Indians.
He tries to answer as many queries as he can from NRIs worldwide dealing with NRI-related issues. His website FAQ section is quite popular amongst NRIs, who seek answers, tips and information on various issues such as returning to India for permanent settlement, visas, OCI, customs duties, etc.
