I am looking forward to hear from You Thank you Linto Answer: Staying out of UK for eight months should have no effect on your British nationality. You can actually stay away for as long as you like! The only documentation you need is a valid UK passport. In case your passport is expiring while abroad, you can always renew the passport from the nearest British consulate. Those who leave UK for extended periods should consider registering with the local British consulate, while registration may not be mandatory, it is beneficial to do so and often can be done online.
