153. UK OCI working in India
Q: Hello Sir, Currently, I am an Indian Citizen, working in U.K. and will become eligible for British Citizenship in another month's time. I would like to take British Citizenship and renounce Indian Citizenship. My intention is to acquire British Citizenship and go to India to work (in IT) as an OCI or PIO. Would you please let me know, if I have to face any problems working in India as a British Citizen like double taxation, issues to buy any property (other than agricultural land) in India etc. Appreciate your inputs.
