160. UK Doctor practice medicine in India
Q: Dear Sir,
I am an Indian national working in UK as a doctor. I hold a primary medical qualification from India.
I would be eligible for British Citizenship in the next 4 months. I plan to get an OCI card after getting British Citizenship and then move to India
to practice as a doctor. Are people with OCI status allowed to practice medicine in India?
Your views on this would be really helpful.
Kind regards
Amit Nulkar
A. The only restriction that I am aware of when it comes to OCI holders working in India involves working for the government
of India or politics.
