174. OCI Holders working in India

Q: Many thanks for maintaining a good & informative site for all NRI's at one place. I have a query for you please. I am an Indian who wishes to acquire UK citizenship and work in India with an OCI/PIO card. Will there be any hurdles to work like a minimum salary criteria etc? Basically, are there any disadvantages to work in India as an overseas citizen. Is there anything that I need to take care? Please educate me on this. Thanks and regards, Prabhu A. I can't think of any hurdles OCI holders may encounter when working in India. I don't quite understand your reference to minimum salary criteria in your question. However one must realize that work philosophy in India is a lot different than what you might be accustomed to in foreign countries. The yes sir! no sir! mentality still exists in India.
