251. OCI or PIO for spouse?

Q. Hi, my name is Harmander. Im an Indian national, living in South Africa and married to a South African(white) lady for two and half years. We are planning to move to India as soon as November'11. I would appreciate if you could tell me- 1. Is my wife eligible to apply for the OCI/PIO card(either of them)? 2. What is the procedure for me and my wife to follow? 3. How much the payable fees(when applied from South Africa) is? Thank you Best regards Harmander S. Maan A. Your wife would be eligible to apply for PIO card. She cannot get OCI card. Check with the Indian consulate in your area to apply. The fee is US$365 and in South Africa fee would be converted to local currency. PIO card is valid for 15 years.
