Waiting anxiously for your revert. Warm Regards, Ashutosh Kumar Answer: If your intention is to get married to an Indian citizen so as to get OCI, then you should reconsider. A foreign spouse cannot get OCI on the basis of their wife/husband being of Indian origin. In such a scenario, only PIO card is possible and citizens of Nepal are not eligible to apply for PIO. To be eligible for OCI, one of the conditions mentioned by the Government of India is that the applicants country of citizenship allows dual citizenship in some form or other under the local laws. As per Section 10 of the Nepal Citizenship Act 2006, dual citizenship is not allowed. To apply for OCI In a case such as yours, since your mother is an Indian by birth, you should check with the Indian consulate in Nepal. Whether your degree will be recognized by MCI is difficult to say without knowing where your got your degree from. The chances are that if the Medical school is recognized by the World Health Organization, it may be recognized by MCI. Currently, I believe there are ten schools that are recognized from Nepal by WHO. They are: 1. B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, Sunsari District 2. College of Medical Sciences-Nepal, Bharatpur, Chitwan (Dist.) 3. Kathmandu Medical College (pvt.) Ltd. Kathmandu 4. Kathmandu University, School of Medical Sciences Dhulikhel 5. Manipal College of Medical Sciences Pokhara 16, Kaski District 6. Nepal Medical College Pvt. Ltd. Kathmandu 7. Nepalgunj Medical College Nepalgunj-16 8. National Medical College , Birganj, Birganj, Temporarily affiliated to Tribhuvan University 9. Tribhuvan University, Institute of Medicine, Kathmandu 10.
