Thank you Prashant Mehta Answer: Regarding your questions: 1. You should register your child’s birth at the Venezuela embassy. 2. According to Venezuelan law, in the case of a child born abroad, where one of the parents is a citizen of Venezuela, the child is granted citizenship under the following conditions: (a) Before child reaches the age of 18, the parents must establish residence in Venezuela. (b) Before reaching the age of 25, the person must declare an intention to accept Venezuelan nationality. 3. I believe Venezuela does not allow dual citizenship. The only exception here is for children. Dual citizenship is recognized until the age of 25, at which time Venezuelan citizenship ceases if the foreign nationality is maintained.
