I m Canadian citizen and holding OCI FROM INDIA. and same thing of my daughter she born in Canada and she is holding oci card too. i have 2 questions . 1) Me and my x husband are separated from 2 yrs so we have done mutual understanding divorced in India and i have custody of my daughter her passport has expired on 4th April 2012. i applied for her passport but they refused bc i don't have divorced certificate from Canada and don't have divorced decree from Indian court. as my lawyer from Canada says that i can renew from India on my divorced deed. but Canadian embassy has refused. can u pl tell me solutions. as my daughter she study in India so she lives in India in hostel. 2) if i and my daughter want to change name on OCI CARD WHAT DOCUMENTS WE NEED AND WHERE I HAVE TO APPLY .
