Question: hello I am staying in bangkok for last 10 years.I have jewelry buisness here. I want to transfer my residence and buisness to India.what are the rules ? how can I transfer the jewelries to India at low cost? Hitendra kumar jain Answer: The easiest and way to find out rules and regulations to transfer a business from abroad and setup a new business in India is to contact the Indian Embassy in Bangkok. To encourage trade and commerce for their respective countries, every country has a commerce and trade attache at their foreign embassy/consulates abroad. Contact the Indian embassy trade/commerce section consular official and ask for the rules and regulations about moving your business. Even if they are unable to provide you with all the information that you wish to have, they will definitely point you in the right direction and advise you on who and how to contact to proceed further. As it is, India does need new business investment and I am sure Indian consulates will readily help anyone planning to invest in India.
