Hello Sir/Madam My name is Vinay Dwivedi and I am staying in Netherlands for 5 years now.I can now apply for dutch passport.I am here with my wife and son and both will also receive dutch passport.I plan to return to india in 1 year time and wondering whether it is a good decision to live in india with a OCI card. The questions that popup 1.Does my son pay addtional fees at all levels. 2.Do I face issues when looking for job, 3.My wife is a homoepath,Can she practise. I need detailed information and any pointers are appreciated.Happy to pay for the services. Many Thanks Vinay Answer: Whether it will be a good decision to live in India with OCI card depends on the people involved. Why they want to move to India, what they plan to do in India and more over what their expectations are. Living in India takes a lot of adjustment and when returning to India after a long absence, we must keep in mind that things in India may not be the same when you return. Things may have changed considerably since you initially left India. All said and done, if return is planned well and expectations are reasonable, one can have a good life in India. Regarding your questions: 1. School fee for OCI and NRI children studying in India has already been discussed in several articles on Nri Information. To find the relevant articles easily, simply use the search bar and do a search by typing ‘nri school fee’ Regardless of what you are searching for on this site. A search bar is provided on every page and should help find information easily. 2. You won’t have any luck in the government job sector but private sector should be fine. Setting up a business is also an option for the entrepreneur type. For good viable projects, Indian banks may even loan you money! 3. Speaking in terms of legality, your wife will need to have a Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) degree or a Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (DHMS) to practice Homeopathy in India.
