Question: Hi sir I want to find out I came back from uk after 22 year now I want to live in india permanently I want to bring my car bmw from uk to india do I have to pay any custom duty if I have to how much its going to be pls help me and guide me in this matter thanks again From baljinder singh Answer: There is no duty free car import allowed in India, so customs duty would have to be paid if you take your car to India. As for calculation of customs duty on a car taken to India see answer to question number 1035 where a sample calculation is made. Substitute the value for your car and do the calculation to get the applicable customs duty for your car.
