Question: Sir,
I have rental income in BANK CD. how to REPATRIATE ABROAD.

Answer: NRIs and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) are allowed by the government to repatriate current income such as:
•
Rental income received by NRIs/PIOs by renting out their properties in India.
•
Income from Dividends in India
•
Pension income received in India
•
Interest income etc.
To repatriate rental income:
A certificate from a Chartered Accountant is required to certify:
1.
The source of the income, for example from rent
2.
That any taxes on this income have been paid
These documents will be required by the bank you use to transfer the money abroad. Normally transfers are done from NRO
account.
Your accountant will know of the format required for such certification.
