Q: Hi I am indian citizen but I m living in Australia since last 3 years continuously. I am studying here n I have lodged a file in Australian immigration for permanent residency. Let me knw am I nri according to Indian law. BcoZ I m living continuously out of India for a long time. M waiting for your response Thanx Inder A. An individual is considered to be an NRI if his stay in India is less than 182 days during the preceding financial year.
