193. Refund of OCI fee
Q: Dear Mr Chand
My name is Tansukh Bhatt and am currently residing in the UK but was born in Uganda. I am of Indian origin and on this basis I
applied for OCI. I had provided relevant documents regarding my parents.
However, the Indian High Commission in UK has objected. The objection being " Indian Proof Required". I applied for OCI in July
and, really, am fed up now. I have now decided to withdraw my application and claim refund of fees paid.
I have searched the OCI website but can not find the relevant form to cancel my " in process " application. Can you please provide
some guidance on how to reclaim my fees?
Thanking you
Tansukh Bhatt
A. If the registration as OCI is not granted the equivalent of US$25 is charged as a processing fee and the balance of the fee paid is
refunded. Contact the consulate where you applied and ask for a refund.
