OCI U Visa

Q: I am 66 year old and granted oci certificate and life long Indian visa on my British passport last year. I need to apply new British passport as it will expire shortly. Can I travel to india on old passport with life long visa and new current British passport with applying for visa on new passport Thank you Scs A. After age 50, it is not mandatory to get new OCI documents. You can travel to India with your old passport that has the OCI Visa stamp on it. Remember, you must have both passports when you travel, the new and old passport that has the OCI stamp pasted on it. I believe that the reasoning behind the requirement to get new OCI visa is due to changes in appearance as time goes by. Hence rules state that OCI visa needs to be re-issued each time a new passport is issued up to the completion of 20 years of age and once after completion of 50 years of age.
