Q: dear sir/madam i m u.s citizen noly for pw , and after citizenship i have changed my surname so if i apply for oci card my surname will be diffent than passport so how can i change my surname in oci card? please let me know soon as possible... regards thanks nita patel A. Changes to OCI records can be done through OCI Miscellaneous Services Online. Changes such as a change of personal particulars viz. name, father’s name, nationality etc. Or in case of lost or damaged OCI card, visa etc. To initiate the changes you require, first visit https://passport.gov.in/oci/ and then follow the prompts after selecting OCI Miscellaneous Services. To be able to do make corrections, you will first have to provide your passport number which should be the same as the one used when you initially got your OCI card. You will also need to provide ONE of the following: • U-Visa Number • OCI Number • OCI File Number If the correct information is entered and matches the OCI database, then you will get access to proceed with the form to start the process of requesting the changes you require.
