Answer: Liberia currently is perhaps the only county in the world that allows only persons a black person to obtain
citizenship. They do however, allow allows Caucasian [white skinned] and other races to hold permanent residency
status.
Foreign nationals intending to work in Liberia are required to have valid residence permit. For information contact the
Liberian embassy/consulate near you. There is an embassy in New Delhi if you are currently in India.
Please be advised that as of February 2015, the Liberian Ministry of Labor has announced that it will not be issuing
work permits for non-Liberians seeking employment for positions such as Accountants, Human Resource Managers
and Administrative Managers.
Since you have already lived and worked in Liberia for 10 years and are married to a Liberian citizen, perhaps you
can approach the Liberian authorities to get appropriate visa for permanent residence.
