Q.961 Life Certificate for Indian pension submission date extended – Life
Certificate from Australia
Question: Good morning .
My mom & dad are on tourist visa for 1 year in Australia . Both are retired teachers from Punjab govt. education
deptt .Every year in November they have
to provide life certificate to their bank (S.B.I ) , so that they can get their pension .now they are in Melbourne in the
month of november & what is the right procedure so that they can get their pension in their accounts
please suggest me ..

Answer: As I write this, the Government of India has just announced that the The submission date of Life Certificate
for Indian pension purposes has been extended from November to January 15, 2017. This is to give Indian banks time
to cope with the huge lineups at banks due to the cancellation of Rs. 500 & 1000 currency notes.
