Question: Hello Sir/Madam, I live in Stamford CT USA, and need some information regarding how to file an FIR against a person named Manoj Gupta who is harassing my mother she lives in India Aligarh UP all by herself and He wants to take advantage of her being alone. Kindly Help! Thanks Regards, Answer: FIR can be logged in the concerned police stations where your mother resides. For cases that are related to criminal acts the police should be contacted, if the matter is of a civil nature then a lawyer should be consulted. If your mother is being harassed by a particular person, then your mother or anyone else on her behalf can contact the police. You could even find the appropriate senior police offers contact information via the Internet and send a written request for help for your mother if she is not capable of approaching the authorities. There is also the option to retain the services of a lawyer to take steps to help your mother deal with this type of harassment.
