Question: dear sir/madam
i am living in ABUDHABI/UAE now i am planning to sell my property in tamilnadu /india . i am POA excuted to one of my
friend , now i noticed that life certificate is required for sell the property . please inform me how to get life certificate from
abudhabi embassy . that life certificate formet mentioned signature from medical practitioner A grade officer. please send
me repply asap if any formet for NRE also send .

Answer: My understanding is that In Abu Dhabi services for attestation of life certificate type of documents has been
outsourced to IVS Global by Indian consulate. To get a life certificate you will need to visit their attestation center. The
documents generally required are your passport, filled form for life certificate and the appropriate fee. Currently the fee is
around AED 52.50. IVS Global Abu Dhabi phone number +971 2 4456994 you can contact them to get detailed information.
Generally pensioners apply for life certificates every year at consulates abroad. While your purpose of obtaining the life
certificate is different it does not make much difference, a life certificate stamped by the Indian consulate should be valid
where ever a life certificate is required in India. Keep in mind that for property transactions based on power of attorney
[POA] the life certificate must be current within 30 days or so.
