Question: Dear Sir, I wish to send cash gift to a friend in UK from India. Is there any limit to such gift amounts or any tax payable by the beneficiary? Thanks Answer: As per RBI’s Liberalized Remittance Scheme, Any resident individual may remit up-to 2, 50,000 US$ or its equivalent in one Financial Year. There's no gift tax in UK.
