Q.1185 How to Renew Indian Driving License expired one year ago from
Dubai using online facility . . .
Question: Dear Sir,
I am staying in Dubai and my Driving license is expired on 13.9.2017 (one year now). I have no time to stay at this moment
and would like to renew through ONLINE. Is it possible and if so how? Sir what would be the total expenses (fees)?
Hope you may provide an answer to my request urgently.
Thanking you,
Faithfully,
Answer: Driving license expired less than five years ago may be renewed on payment of a penalty which would depend
on the State where the original license was issued. Penalty is generally based on the number of months lapsed since
expiry. The penalty is a nominal sum such as Rs.50/- for each month but as stated earlier you should confirm with the State
where your driving license was issued.
As far as online services are concerned and applicable fee for such services, you can visit the Indian Government Website
using the following link: https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/
When on the page from the online services tab select ‘driving related services’ and then appropriate state to proceed.

All information on services and online submission is available on the government website.
