Q.1204 How can I find copy of Supreme Court judgement on Aadhaar
Question: Hello Sir/Madam:
I am an ex Indian Navy and recently due to a Supreme Court ruling, am now eligible for ex-serviceman pension (a class
lawsuite that all sailors in my category won). At present I am a Canadian Citizen and want to apply for this pension, but
on Indian Navy Pension website, the application form only caters to persons with Adhaar Card.
I was visiting your following web site that mentions a Supreme court ruling of September 15, 2018 exempting the non-
residents from Adhaar card:
http://nriinformation.com/articles7/aadhaar-supreme-court-verdict.htm
Can you please provide the Honorable Supreme Court’s ruling itself/link to the ruling so that I can take it to Zila Sainak
Board/Indian High Commission in Ottawa please to fill in my pension form!
Will really appreciate your help in this regard!
Thanking
Answer: You will find the actual copy of the judgement on the Supreme Court website. Try this link:
https://www.sci.gov.in/judgments
When you are on the page select Judge Name [Justice A. K. Sikri] and the date as September 26, 2018.
Be warned that the judgement document is hundreds of pages long.
