Green card applicant traveling to USA on visitor visa while application pending

If your question is whether a person who has been sponsored for a Green Card by a US citizen, can get a US Visitor visa while the green card application is being processed, then in such cases it is generally very difficult to get visitor visa where green card application is pending. When faster entry to USA is required, then getting a visitor visa before green card sponsorship is done may be an alternative.
