Question: Sir, 1. Can I buy airline tickets for domestic sector for my friend and his family from my Indian credit card? 2. Also can I pay from my credit card for hotel booking for them? Answer: You should be able to purchase tickets or make hotel reservation for your friends in India using your valid Indian credit card. However, sometimes payment portals used by companies to accept credit cards may flag an online transaction as fictitious and reject the transaction. Normally such issues arise if a foreign credit card is being used. One way around some of these issues perhaps is to use a booking portal such as MakeMyTrip or Cleartrip to make airline and hotel reservations in India. If you do use your credit card to make your friends reservations, then advise your friends to carry proper identification which may be required by airlines and hotels.
