Q: Could you please advise me how to apply for a PAN card for a person with Irish Passport, holding PIO card and residing in UK. Mathew A. Foreign Citizen located outside India at the time of application for PAN are also required to provide proof of identity and proof of address. For proof of identity the guideline is to provide: 1. Copy of passport 2. Copy of other National ID attested by Indian Embassy/Consulate/High Commission 3. Copy of Person of Indian Origin(PIO)card issued by Government of India For proof of address your best bet is to get a copy of any National ID attested by Indian Embassy/Consulate/High Commission or a copy of bank account statement from your bank in UK attested by Indian Embassy/High Commission/Consulate.
