Q755. How to apply for OCI when living in India . . .

Question: Dear Sir, Our son is 16 years old and is an American citizen. He is currently in the USA attending high school after having completed his class 10 here in Dehradun, India. We would like to apply for an OCI for him. Can we apply for it here in India? Kindly let us know where, how, what the procedure is and what documents we need to submit. We are both resident Indians. We look forward to a prompt response. Thanking you, Yours sincerely, Mr and Mrs Palden. Answer The process of applying for OCI from India is almost the same as applying from abroad.
