Q.1156 OCI Transfer for British National of age 48 . . .
Question: HI
I am British national by birth and 48 years old and have a oci but UK passport is due to expire in 2019 what do i do
bout my oci.. will still be able to travel if i take my old passport with my new passport with my current oci or do i need
to get a new oci

Answer: Kindly be advised that while there is no need now to transfer OCI to new passport, there is a requirement to
get fresh OCI documents for those who are 50 years or older when their previous passport with OCI expires.
OCI documents must be re-issued once when an applicant is 50 or more years of age after the issuance of a new passport.
There is no requirement now to transfer OCI visa to new passport. This information was posted on our website some time
