Q.1196 Foreign Tour with NRO Funds . . . Purchase foreign travel
tickets from India . . .
Question: A question for you:
We are OCIs. We have NRE and NRO accounts in India which we
regularly use when visiting India every year.
The question I have is this: can we use the INR in our NRO a/c (not
NRE) to purchase foreign tour packages from Indian travel agents
while we are in India, ie, departing from India for these tours?
P.S. I know you don't answer on personal level but I wonder how
would I find the answer when you already have nearly 1200 Q&A in
your FAQ section! I hope it is chronological, so that, I can check
answers for question #1195 and beyond for next few days!
