Q673. If First OCI after age 50 - New OCI documents not mandatory . . .

Question: Dear Vic: It is me again - this time on your Arts.29 and 408. What I gather from reading both is: 1. Up to the age of 20, each time a foreign passport is renewed, it is required that one needs fresh OCI documents. 2. Between ages 21 to 49 no fresh OCI documents are required. Carry two passports or pay a fee and have the Visa moved to the new Passport. 3. At 50 years of age, must get the OCI Cert and Visa reissued. After that no more fresh OCI documents necessary - ever. My question then is this: I am now 76 years of age. I applied for and later received my OCI Cert and Visa when I was 69 years of age - 14.07.2006. Born 24.05.37. Do I fall into the over-50 category where fresh documents are not required? Thanks. Carlos. Answer: Question similar to yours have already been answered on this website.
