Q.810 Travel to India from UK when OCI not transferred to new passport
Question: I am over 50 I got my oci age 53 I has to travel India I haven't transferred my oci in new British passport our passport
office told me u can't travel I got my old passport as well I got emergency my aunts she is sick I have to be their nobody is their
to help her what shall I do please help me

Answer: I don’t quite understand who has told you that you cannot travel to India. If you have a valid UK passport and
OCI. Then even though you have not transfered your OCI visa to new passport you can travel to India as long as you
take the OCI card with you. The booklet issued to you when you got your OCI will have all your OCI information on it.
This is now accepted as proof of OCI.
