Sent from my iPad [October 19, 2015] Answer: As of January 29, 2015 The Government of India has issued an advisory to the immigration authorities in India not to insist on the production of the foreign passport containing the original OCI ‘U’ Visa. Transfer of OCI visa from Old passport to New passport is not a requirement now. Make sure when you travel to India with your new UK passport, you also take your OCI card (OCI booklet issued when you got OCI) as this is proof of your OCI status. In case you are worried take your expired passport that has the OCI visa stamp with you. Just in case you end up at a immigration counter where the person is not aware of the rule change.
